Wooroi Bike Trails
Wooroi day-use area is the perfect place to take a stroll along a variety of trails, or just sit and enjoy a relaxing picnic among coastal she-oak and bloodwood trees.
You may be lucky enough to spot a glossy black-cockatoo, white-bellied sea-eagle or even koalas that all reside within this protected habitat.
From the Wooroi day-use area, mountain bike riders can choose from several trails that vary in length and difficulty. Most are suitable for beginners and people with moderate fitness levels. When riding, watch out for walkers who also use these trails. There are also tracks around the perimeter that allow horseriding. Picnic tables and tap water are available here; however, there are no toilet facilities.
Mt Tinbeerwah is 15 minutes from Noosa Heads in Tewantin NP and offers great views. It’s an easy 1km return hike to the top from a sealed car park. The walk has wheelchair and pram access to the first lookout point (130m) with views to the coast.
Beyond the first lookout the track climbs to the fire tower lookout perched 265m above sea level – an additional 300m walk. Bring your binoculars and camera to take advantage of the spectacular panoramic 360-degree views, with magnificent vistas over Noosa and the Pacific Ocean. A perfect time to go is late afternoon to catch the beautiful sunsets. Abseiling and rockclimbing are also permitted for experienced and suitably equipped people.
