See a python swallow an Australian freshwater crocodile whole

A classic Australian duel rarely capture on camera.

It’s World Snake Day and we’re remembering these gruesome images of a olive python swallowing a freshwater crocodile whole – certainly not something you see everyday.

The images were captured by photographer Martin Muller who was kayaking around Mount Isa, Queensland, which were then published on the GG Wildlife Rescue Inc Facebook page where they went viral.

It’s quite common for pythons to feast on animals much larger than them. Everything from deer to humans have been found in their stomachs. Below, see as Martin captures every last bite:
