Photo contest: Wiki Loves Earth 2017 Australia

THE DEADLINE FOR this year’s Wiki Loves Earth photography competition is coming around quickly. You have until the 31 May, which is next Wednesday, to submit your photography.
There are only a few simple rules: photography has to be focused around protected areas of Australia’s natural environment, it has to be appropriately labelled, categorised and uploaded in time, and lastly, it has to be your own photography.
Almost 1000 entries have already been submitted to Wikimedia Commons for this year’s competition and can be viewed online here.
“In addition to being seen by everyone, your pictures could be included in Wikipedia and contribute to the knowledge of Australia’s natural beauty,” states the competition’s own Wikipedia page.
Entries will be judged by a panel of six, with 10 Australian winners receiving $100 each along with a canvas print of their entry.
