TNF team embrace the winter chill and hit the slopes in NZ.

AT Australian Geographic Adventure WE count ourselves as seriously lucky to have the jobs we do. Every day we talk to adventurers, athletes and other inspiring characters and then we bring their stories to you, our readers. The guys over at The North Face don’t have it too bad either.

Check out their latest video from their recent winter skiing trip into the mountains surrounding New Zealand’s Mt Cook. Here’s their summary:

“Pulling off a Back Country trip amidst New Zealand’s biggest mountains is something akin to a miracle. As the weather gods deal their hand, our initial two-week window is whittled down to a single three-day opportunity. Sticking to our guns, we pack the cars and convoy to Mt Cook Village, our starting point located at the foot of NZ’s biggest mountains. What follows is a trip where endurance, team effort and the gritty NZ spirit of adventure replace lift queues, rope lines and greasy resort hotdogs. It’s one we like to call The Whole Nine Yards.”
