Bustard mid-flight
15 August 2016
One of the largest birds in Australia takes off in Stonehenge.
This week’s reader photo was taken by Greg in Queensland.
“An Australian bustard (Ardeotis australis) takes to the sky as I was trying to get closer for a high-quality picture,” he says.
“This bustard was on the roadside near a tiny little outback town named Stonehenge in the Barcoo shire of Queensland.”
