A male Gippsland water dragon keeps a watchful eye over his place by the creek near Merimbula, New South Wales.

This week’s reader photo was taken by Harrison near Merimbula, NSW.

‘The Gippsland Water dragon (Intellagama lesueurii howittii) is a subspecies of water dragon found along the coast of south-eastern Australia. This proud male was found basking on the side of a creek near the town of Merimbula, NSW,’ he says.
