THE DRIVE TO MATE proves incredibly strong in this week’s reader photo, sent in by Joan Tomkins from Rockhampton in Queensland.

“These two butterflies were not going to be bothered about anything but what they were involved in,” says Joan. “I found them in my front garden one day and took quite a few photos before they eventually departed.”
