This moody beach landscape is this week’s AG Flickr photo of the week.

This week’s AG Flickr photo comes to us from contributor Mark Lane, who took this moody beach shot.

“I am a winemaker by trade, and a very keen photographer…maybe just a photographer with a drinking problem!,” says Mark. “I have been working hard on my landscape photography, particularly panoramas, striving for great image quality and dynamic range. This led me to take the plunge recently and upgrade to a Canon 5DmkII with L lenses. My camera is never far away and recently when we were touring around the Mornington Peninsula we stopped to look at Rye Back Beach from the car park in the late afternoon.  There was a fabulous dramatic sky and I ran down the beach to grab some shots in the allocated five minutes. I used a combination of Lee big stopper (10 stop ND) and a 0.6 soft GND to enhance the contrast in the sky and give some water movement. There was no time for panoramas, so this is a single shot with my wide angle lens (EF16-35mm L II f/2.8 @ 16mm).”
