SNAPSHOT: The 1954 Royal Tour
In her 70 years as queen, Elizabeth II has visited Australia on 16 occasions, but with changing attitudes to the British monarchy, there has never been a royal tour quite like the first. Photographer Max Dupain turned his camera on the crowds lining Sydney’s thoroughfares.
