There are few people more inspiring than Pat Farmer – the man who conceived and completed the world’s longest ultra marathon – a run from North Pole to South Pole (a distance of some 20,000km). Pat’s run garnered world attention and raised more than $100K for Red Cross International. The images and stories from this adventure alone will have every audience on their feet and ready to take on any challenge. Apart from this almost inconceivable achievement – where Pat run an average of 80km a day, every day for ten and a half months – he’s been an MP (Member for Macarthur for 8 years), Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Science and Training, Winner of Australian Geographic’s ‘Adventurer of the Year’ and winner of Australia’s ‘Achiever of the Year’ (2000). During his 30-year ultra-running career he has raised millions of dollars for charity.
