The Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park area is one of the most popular natural areas in Tasmania. It’s not difficult to see why.

This week’s reader photo was taken by William Patino during a recent trip to Tasmania:

“At first light, the entire valley was covered in fog with only the peak of Cradle Mountain prevailing,” said William.

“It was an incredible sight to behold, but after the sun had completely come up the wind changed and in less than a minute the fog had vanished. I called out to my friend Zach to hold still as I kept him in the frame for some scale. Without a doubt this is one of the most beautiful parts of Australia.”
