An echidna roams free atop Hanson’s Peak in Cradle Mountain National Park, Tasmania.
This week’s reader photo was taken by Jason Stephens from Prospect, Tasmania.
“It was amazing to see an echidna up so high among the mountains; he was more than happy to walk quite close to us as we were setting up to photograph the sunset. I guess they will travel anywhere for food in the wild,” said Jason.
