THIS WEEK’S READER photo is of a bee gathering nectar in the Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne, sent in by AG reader Douglas Gimesy, from Brighton in Victoria.  

“I was spending the morning in the gardens in early autumn, when I noticed a swarm of bees busily harvesting pollen from some flowers in the garden,” says Douglas. “It took about 100 shots to get this due to their speed of movement.”
