A bird’s-eye view of a beautiful white-bellied sea eagle is this week’s contributor shot.

A NATIVE SEA EAGLE is the subject of this week’s AG Flickr photo of the week by Michael Nau.

“I had shot whole series of 17 photos at the lookout of Turimetta Head, Warriewood on Sydney’s Northern Beaches at the beginning of March 2011. I only deleted one, as the eagle got to close to the sun. The subject is a juvenile white-bellied sea eagle, which will eventually mature into the black and white apperance of the adults. Some of its wing feathers are still not fully developed.”

Camera gear: Nikon D300s, 1/2.8 70-200mm, Nikkor VRII,ED zoom with a 2x Nikon teleconverter Sot at 1/1250s at 1/5.6 and ISO 400. Focal length 400mm or 600mm with cropping factor.
