David discovers that Port Stephens is home to an abundance of dolphins looking for fun

David snorkels with three distinct pods of these amazingly acrobatic animals. Dolphins surround the boat and the snorkelers and David relishes in feeling part of the pod.

Three different species of dolphins live in the waters surrounding Port Stephens. The most common dolphin species near Port Stephens is the Indo-Pacific bottlenose. Nearby, but in more open waters, the Common dolphin and the Common bottlenose dolphin are regularly spotted. Bottlenose dolphins are known for their playfulness and intelligence.
