Mining and mountains mark the end of David’s journey through outback New South Wales

David explores the stunning late 1800s architecture of Broken Hill. He also learns about the birth of BHP, by a synidcate of seven. Pausing to commemorate the miners lost in the early years of work in Broken Hill, David ruminates on the progress in treatment of miners.

For a change of pace he makes his way to Mt Gipps station, where vast, unsettled land spreads as far as the eye can see.
