Now well on the path to recovery, bushfire survivor Paul, named after the man who found him, has his dressings changed at the koala hospital.

An adult can eat more than 500g of leaves per day.

During her two decades as a volunteer at the koala hospital, Barbara Barrett (seen here with Paul) has helped rear dozens of injured animals back to health, with most successfully released into the wild.
