Photographer’s incredible images after becoming trapped by floods at Crescent Head

The disastrous NSW floods turned Crescent Head, a 440km drive north-east of Sydney, into an island for 12 days.

Photographer Aaron McKay became trapped by the floods and captured some incredible images of the deluge.

“One of the best things about being stuck in Crescent Head is the community,” Aaron says. “The way they have all helped in any way they can to do whatever is needed

“What I’ve been able to do is show them from a drone what the town looks like from the air. And have a bit of fun while doing it. Especially with the kids.”
