This week’s reader photo was captured by Di Lymbury.

“At this time of year there can be an influx of these little creatures on our eastern coastline,” says Di. “This bluebottle (Physalia utriculus) was glinting in the early sunlight stranded on Flat Rock Beach this week and the sight was quite beautiful.  It had a mass of tentacles. I am wondering if there are variations of this creature, as it did not appear typical.”
