In this dry part of Western Australia, only gnarled desert trees and thorny bushes grow.

THIS WEEK’S reader photo was taken by Geire Kami, from Popanyinning, WA.

“Filming on muster at Minnie Creek, Western Australia, in September 2015, I flew over this incredible disused water tank. The broken windmill looks skeletal and the earth is so dry at times here, the only things that grow are gnarled desert trees, and thorny, low-slung bushes,” she said.
