Some good news for this majestic white-bellied sea eagle.

This female white-bellied sea eagle was spotted at Sydney Olympic Park in a bad way. She had a broken wing and was dehydrated. Luckily, BirdLife Australia brought the sea eagle to Taronga Zoo where she was treated for her injuries and was given the time and space to recover. This included some test flights in the zoo’s purpose-built aviaries, where the young eagle learned to fly in a safe environment. The sea eagle will continue to be monitored following her successful release.
