Australian Geographic is  taking its awards night out of Sydney and on the road, with speaking events by our top trail blazers, explorers, adventurers and conservationists to be held around the country.

The roadshow is part of an exciting new initiative, Australian Geographic Presents, launched last year, which represents inspirational speakers for corporate and community speaking engagements.

The roadshow will begin with one event in Sydney on 20 February at the NSW Teachers Federation Conference Centre Auditorium, featuring Heather Swan, Sophia Skaparis, Lisa Blair and Pat Farmer.

You can purchase tickets to the Sydney event here.

From there, the roadshow heads to Perth, Melbourne, Canberra, Albury, Adelaide and lastly, Hobart, where speakers such as Jade Hameister, Syd Kirkby and Jessica Watson will take the stage.

Topics will be a mixture of adventure and conservation, which tend to overlap, including polar exploration, deep-sea diving, climate change and plastic pollution.

“Our annual awards night is such an inspiration and we are thrilled to be able to take the spirit of that event right around the country during 2019,” Editor-in-Chief Chrissie Goldrick said of the upcoming roadshow.
