The sun was shining but the umbrellas were out in force! During a visit to the Australian Museum, the Green Umbrella team from North Sydney Girls High School, Zara Stanton, Alison Woodward, Asha Keaney and Neeharika Maddula, paid a visit to the Australian Geographic booth at Science in the City.

As part of their Children’s Climate Call competition in Copenhagen earlier in the year, they’ve been working with the Australian Museum to create a digital story about their experience.

After a strenuous morning of recording the girls took on the Climate Change Exhibition at the Museum and then headed to the AG booth to check out “Buzz”, our 7-foot tall astronaut.

The Umbrellas couldn’t resist showing everyone their picture in the current AG journal, which is on display at the booth – we had to hold back the admiring fans!

Congratulations, girls, on winning the research prize in Copenhagen – you can find out all about the competition at this website, and stay tuned for their digital story which will go online soon.
