Australian Geographic Adventure and The North Face have teamed up to help make your dream adventure a reality. Apply now.

FROM EXPLORATORY CANYONING on La Reunion to summit attempts in Nepal and Afghanistan, recipients of The North Face Adventure Grant have used the support from The North Face and Australian Geographic Adventure to pursue their far-reaching goals in the great outdoors – to go in search of the unknown.

Recent recipients in 2015 used the grant to achieve a first descent of the Karangarua River in New Zealand’s west coast. The 2016 recipients, New Zealand residents and mountaineers Steve Skelton and Ben Dare, have just completed their main objective on expedition in Peru. They established a new route on Mt Taulliraju, in the Cordillera Blanca mountains, climbing four days and finishing directly on the summit.

Applications for the 2017 grant are open until 30 November 2016.

This gives you plenty of time to come up with a cracking adventure proposal for consideration. The winning grant receives $5000 from The North Face, $3000 from Australian Geographic Adventure, as well as $2000 worth of awesome expedition gear from The North Face.
