Waves slide over the landing of the Quindalup jetty, Western Australia – momentarily submerging it – as the setting sun paints the morning sky.

THIS WEEK’S WINNING AG Reader Photo was taken by Magee Gerald in Quindalup, Western Australia.

“I was working next to this jetty in Quindalup and one morning decided to take my camera and get a couple of photographs before I started work,” says Magee.

“The image is of Quindalup jetty at sunset. The jetty, which is located in the south west of Western Australia in between Busselton and Dunsborough on Geographe Bay Road, was constructed in the 1860s. It was used to load timber sent up to it by a tramway, to boats that would ferry the timber to boats anchored a few kilometres offshore. This photo has only had its colours a little enhanced in lightroom.”
