A family of emus wander the dunes of Nambung National Park, Western Australia, on Christmas eve.
Congratulations to James Wagner, winner of AG Reader Photo of the Week for this shot of emus in Nambung National Park, Western Australia.
“I was heading north on Indian Ocean Drive in WA on Christmas eve,” says James. “The road passes through Nambung National Park which contains several huge dune systems. As I came through one section I could see a family of emus scaling the dunes in the distance, I quickly pulled over and scrambled for my camera – I was so happy to capture them as they bolted off only a few seconds later!”
