A solitary tawny frogmouth hides among the foliage.

The latest Australian Geographic Flickr group photo of the week.

Congratulations to this week’s AG Flickr group member Milinda, for his image of a tawny frogmouth taken at Shepherds Bush, Victoria.

“This photo was taken during an evening walk with my daughter in Shepherds Bush, Wantirna South,” says Milinda.

“The park is an oasis for birds, often we see tawny frogmouths in pairs, but on this day we spotted this guy alone a few metres from the trail. It is always exciting to see them as they are one of the best camouflaged of all the bird species found in the park.”
