Guarding the coast

Norah head lighthouse is an active lighthouse located at Norah Head, on the NSW Central Coast. Though automated in 1994, the lighthouse has stood guard over the coastline since it unveiling in 1903.

Congratulations to this week’s AG Flickr group member Brad O’Brien, for his image ‘Norah head lighthouse’.
Says Brad, a photographer from the Central Coast, New South Wales:
“The image was taken from the very edge of the second finger of Norah Head rocks, looking back up the beach towards the lighthouse just after sunrise.
It is a single image using the power and movement of the ocean to showcase the lighthouse. It’s not a difficult spot to get to, but a wet one if you don’t keep an eye out.”
