In Jurien Bay, WA, a curious Australian sea lion pup investigates a snorkeller.
This week’s reader photo was taken by Jacqueline in Jurien Bay in Western Australia.
“Roughly a two-hour drive north of Perth is a town [and body of water] called Jurien Bay. Out on the small islands of the bay Australian sea lions (Neophoca cinerea) can be found hauling out,” says Jacqueline.
“I was enjoying a snorkel around the area when this pup came to investigate me. Remembering to keep a distance, I still managed a couple of snaps before exiting the water.”
