#153 November-December 2019
Our cover star for our November/December edition is an Australian sea lion (Neophoca cinerea), an endangered species endemic to our southern waters. In this issue we investigate a radical trial currently underway to save new born sea lion pups from a deadly hookworm, celebrate the centenary of the epic Air Race from England to Australia and take a road trip along the Sandy Blight Junction Road. We head back to school to learn all about nature-based education, witness the annual synchronised sex on the Great Barrier reef and explore the link between healthy soil and our amazing gut microbiome.
Plus, we have 10 Australian Geographic Islands books to giveaway! (Enter here)
Our fundraiser this issue is the Glossy Black Cockatoo – and you can help! Donate here
