Wilpena Pound, located in South Australia's Flinders Ranges, is a natural ampitheatre of mountains 17km long by 7km wide. It has a rich Dreamtime and geological history, with Aboriginal rock art found at Sacred Canyon and Arkaroo Rock, as well as impressive fossil remains in the area. The remarkable landscape inspires all who visit.

DAY ONE – Adelaide to Wilpena Pound via Clare Valley
Meet your guide and fellow travellers for the road trip to Wilpena Pound. Following the coast road from Adelaide to Port Augusta, then heading north, to the Flinders Ranges. Travelling through sheep country, the purple haze of the Flinders becomes apparent and the native Australian wildlife more prolific.  

DAY TWO – Arkaba Station 4WD tour and Old Wilpena Station at sunset
Depart on an exciting 4WD experience over dramatic ridgetops on Arkaba station with spectacular mountain ranges affording magnificent views of Wilpena Pound and the Elder Ranges, before taking a leisurely walk to Old Wilpena Station - an outstanding heritage-listed site. Tonight’s dinner is a unique experience; a traditional outback-style barbecue at the Old Wilpena Woolshed, perfectly complemented by a guided tour of the night sky.

DAY THREE – Scenic flight to Arkaroola
Take breakfast at your leisure this morning before departing on today’s scenic flight to Arkaroola and the famous Wilderness Sanctuary, over Wilpena Pound, the Northern Flinders Ranges and Lake Frome. On arrival at Arkaroola, we join the Ridge Top Tour that takes us over the rugged and arid mountains of the Northern Flinders Ranges.

DAY FOUR – Explore the Flinders, Corridors through time
Take it easy this morning. Take a walk or hire a mountain bike to explore the surrounds. The afternoon tour takes you on a geological journey through the Flinders Ranges National Park to enjoy the beauty of Brachina and Bunyeroo Gorges and the Aroona Valley, see views that have inspired artists such as Sir Hans Heysen and observe the wildlife in their natural habitat.

DAY FIVE – Wilpena Pound to Adelaide    
Following breakfast it is time to check out and meet your departure transfer back to Adelaide. Your return journey will take you back via the Clare Valley wine growing region. Enjoy lunch at a boutique winery and then relax for the last two hours of your journey, returning to Adelaide by 4pm.
