The most picturesque way you can help support Tassie Devils under threat...
A six-day walk through beautiful Cradle Mountain seems like an easy way to support our
Tassie devils...
The Anthology travel company, who run six-day walks along the Overland Track from Cradle Mountain Huts, will donate $200 for every booking during January 2010. The money goes to relief and research of the Tasmanian Devil Facial Tumour Disease (DFTD).
Tassie Devils are endangered and DFTD is one of their biggest killers. For more info, read this in-depth article that ran in
Australian Geographic Issue 84: Devil coast.
The campaign is an opportunity for tourism to lend a hand to a destination, rather than spoil it.
If you want your booking to count towards Anthology's donation, quote
"Save the Tasmanian Devil" when you book
at their website, or by calling
03 6392 2211.

Australia’s southernmost state offers a wilderness of rare beauty. Raging seas pound the rugged coastline around South West Cape, while dense forests hide turbulent rivers in the Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. With plenty of treks and mountain walks, Tasmania is the perfect place for explorers.
