This is how we're celebrating one of our favourite critters...

Wombat Day is this week (22 Oct)... and we've got a celebration planned.
Society Administrator Kylie is heading up to Cedar Creek Wombat Rescue in the Hunter Valley, to deliver some much-deserved support for the plight of the noble wombat.
The Society ran a wombat fundraiser from April to June of this year, and we're thrilled to hand over in excess of $15,000 raised, to the wombat cause.
We already know that some of the funding will help build a release enclosure in Victoria, allowing rehabilitated wombats a safe probationary period before they head out into the Aussie bush.
Pictured is wombat orphan Yango, just one of the infants nursed back to health by the Cedar Creek organisation.
A big thanks to everyone who donated (that's on behalf of the wombats, too) and, to continue to help protect and preserve Australia's wildlife, please visit
Society donations.
Happy Wombat Day!

Australia’s first state is home to some of the country’s most beautiful treasures. The Great Dividing Range, like a gigantic backbone, supports snowfields to the south and majestic rainforests to the north, and separates the red sandhills from the picturesque surf beaches of the Pacific.
