Shipwreck photography competition

Great prizes and fascinating subjects - enter your photos from 1 December 2009.

The Australasian Institute for Maritime Archaeology is on the hunt for outstanding shots of shipwrecks, and there's a booty of prizes to be won.

You can enter across a number of categories and subjects, depending on whether you're school-aged, amateur or professional, and whether your subject is submerged, on land, with people, or in nature.

All shipwrecks must be located in Aussie or New Zealand waters — it's one of the most fascinating topics for a photo comp we've come across.

The prizes are sure to lure you in — the coveted 'Best in Show' prize is worth a 3-day dive expedition for two people!

For more info check out the AIMA website or the DEWHA website for entry form and terms and conditions. Submissions must be in by March 31.
