The primary colours of the outback are striking in this week’s AG Flickr shot.

THE PRIMARY COLOURS OF the Australian outback at Kata Tjuta National Park are the subject of this week’s AG Flickr photo by Jim McFerran.

“My wife and I, along with other members of Bathurst NSW Camera Club, did a caravan trip to the Red Centre in May-June this year. Among the many places we visited was Kata Tjuta National Park in the Northern Territory.

While there is a multitude of magnificent scenery to photograph I was really taken with Kata Tjuta. There are two walks to do, one of which is named The Valley of the Winds, which is about 7.5 km and takes around 4hr. This walk itself is stunning and highly recommended, but for a photographer it is a dream. There are rich colours and a diversity of plant and fauna in the park which ensures that the keen amateur photographer always has something to photograph. It is only a matter of turning around and finding another breathtaking scene.”
