Used and abused: Macpac jacket

Share |

Stay warm in cold climates with this high-end down jacket.

The new Equinox jacket from Macpac is a high-end down jacket built for extreme alpine environments but that doesn’t stop me using it for everyday use.

I love early winter mornings and throwing this on first thing is like magic; instant warmth! It’s a great way to thaw out after a cold dawn patrol surf or during an early morning coffee run. The hood is a great addition and helps maximize insulation in windy conditions.

It was a great addition to my sleeping bag on a recent camping trip.

This would be the ideal jacket for snow camping, any alpine activity, belaying on cold climbs and anything that requires staying warm and functional in icy conditions.

Equinox jacket $449.95
