NORTH FACE & AUSTRALIAN GEOGRAPHIC OUTDOOR PROMOTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Information on how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions of entry.
2. Entry is open to all residents of Australia. Employees of the Promoter and their immediate families and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. To enter, send your proposal (via email or post) detailing your adventure and expedition plans for 2010. Include details of the location, the team involved, what you’re planning to do, when you’re planning to do it, and why you want to do it. Any additional details, along with photos and videos of any past adventures, are welcome.
4. This is a game of skill; chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on literary and creative merit. Judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Prize is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
5. Promotion commences 15/12/09 at 00:01 AEDST and concludes at 23:59 AEDST on 28/02/10. Judging will begin on 29/02/10. The winner will be notified by telephone using contact details provided in their entry.
6. The best entry deemed by the judges will each win a $5000 cash provided by the North Face which will contribute towards the winners next adventure. The winner will also receive $2000 worth of the North Face products which the can choose any current North Face products totalling approximately $2000. All ancillary costs associated with redeeming this prize is the responsibility of the winner.
7. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity and proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
8. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries or for any prizes damaged in transit.
9. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
10. Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of a prize.
11. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The collection, use and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Notice (see Contents page for location in this issue).
