The Reel Rock film tour announces screening dates and locations for 2011.

THE BEST CLIMBING AND adventure films from across the globe will be on show when the Reel Rock Film Tour launches again in September.

This year marks the sixth year of the annual film tour, supported by AG Outdoor, and again organisers are promising big, breathtaking scenes. The 2011 ultimate adventure film line-up includes a race to claim the speed record on the Nose route of El Capitan - California's steepest climbing challenge, a nine-year-old boulder-climbing prodigy from the Big Apple raising the bar for adventure-seekers of all ages, and a chilling look at new extremes in ice climbing in British Columbia. Last year, the tour screened at more than 200 locations around the world and raised more than $15,000 for non-profit organisations. This year the plan is to build on that success.

The tour will also have two winning filmmakers, prize giveaways, and guest appearances by top climbers.

For more information, check out the the tour and filmmaking competition and the screening details.
