On tree branches and behind dunny doors lurk the subjects of our next reader photography campaign.

Careful... it's a delicate process.

You'll have to creep as quietly as a katydid to get a photo for this campaign.

We want to see your best photograph of a creepy-crawly! Send it in by March 23 to be considered.

  • You may need to 'get your eye in' for this one, a pair of dragonflies on the edge of my garden pond. The nearest one, with the red abdomen, is the male. On its chest, between the first pair of wings, is what appears to be a humanoid face, with blue eyes, brown eye-brows, and a wizened, toothless mouth. I've heard of insects scaring off potential predators by flashing eye-like markings on wings, but I've not heard of a scary face before. Report
