Producer Sorrel Wilby and her team: West Ashton (cameraman), Jeremy Ashton (sound recordist) and Gaelene Christian (associate producer) are pleased to present the eighth DVD in the award-winning Australian Geographic Best of Australia documentary series: World Heritage rainforests of northern NSW.
The journey begins in Barrington Tops National Park in the NSW Northern Tablelands and ends at the imposing summit of Mt Warning. It’s an incredible journey through emerald pockets of beauty that still vibrate with the spirit of Gondwana. The story of the genesis and survival of these majestical rainforests unfolds as Sorrel talks with ecologists, biologists and conservation officers, as well as the region’s traditional owners, who freely share their knowledge and experience.
Don’t worry, it’s not all about science and conservation! You’ll also dip into a swag of thrilling experiences on offer – from whitewater kayaking and artists’ camps to whale watching.
Best of Australia: World Heritage rainforests of northern NSW is given free to Australian Geographic subscribers with issue 91 (July-September), along with a full-size poster map of the region, complete with informative captions and travel tips.
